Working for a client that owned and managed a series of casino directory websites. New themes and page layouts needed to be designed and applied to all templates. New pages and sections of the site were created and other improved and added upon. Care was taken to prevent the increase in page features from slowing it down.
Worked largely with custom CMS structures, PHP, HTML, MySQL and JS. Site originally used a combination of EXT and jQuery; migrated remaining EXT code to jQuery. Contributions to existing pages included restructuring, remaking to accomodate new data, restyling and contributing new features. backend functions were improved and streamlined.
Secondary sites were created to specification at client's request. One which allowed outside users to sign up, be approved, and contribute relevant site data such as casino info, hours of operation, images, videos, and pull data and images from hotel APIs. Data would then be mirrored on the home server and woven in with legacy site data.
Reported directly to the client and made self available via Skype, email, and ticketting systems. Operated off of everything from a detailed technical specification to mockups created in a Paint program
Worked with a professor in Education to develop and expand upon a wiki-based architecture for use in classrooms. Wiki would allow students to sign in and create and submit assignments through use of numerous site ammenities.
Providing phone technical support for customers of numerous Logitech product lines, including control devices, gaming, and wireless music and security systems. Maintained a fast pace to resolve issues and disputes quickly and effectively. When necessary, conducted lengthier investigations or researching working solutions for customer needs. Worked in a range of stressful and unique situations while maintaining a high standard of care.
Created numerous reference materials and job aides for the rest of the team, including collected walkthroughs, helpful diagrams, interactive interface mockups (the client software wasn't available on work terminals) and simple web tools to streamline communication.
Performed testing and quality assurance on a suite of voice-based biometrics software applications and tools both local and over a network, including GUI and telephony application testing to assure correctness and validity of the product. Produced detailed testing plans and procedural documentation, obtained team validation and approval, and followed through with regression testing passes.
Using C# and mySQL, developed additional features and improved the layout of web-based testing tools to streamline and improve the testing procedure.
